GEORGIA GAME CHANGERS TO HOST RED HOT CHILI PEPPER 5K TO BENEFIT FAMILY PROMISE OF BRYAN COUNTY

RICHMOND HILL, GA – May 23, 2019 – For the seventhconsecutive year, Georgia Game Changers is hosting the Red Hot Chili Pepper 5K to benefit Family Promise of Bryan County. The event is set for 7:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20.


The course, which begins and ends in front of Jalapeños in Richmond Hill, will take participants through the local neighborhood, Richmond Place. Afterward, runners can enjoy a post-race celebration and awards ceremony at Georgia Game Changers Health and Fitness Center with raffles, refreshments and vendors.


Registration is $20 until May 31, $25 until June 30, $30 until July 19, and will be $40 on the day of the race. All proceeds from the race will go to assist Family Promise of Bryan County in fulfilling its mission to assist homeless children and their families. “Participating in the Red Hot Chili Pepper 5K is a great way to exercise, have some fun with friends and enjoy a little party while supporting children and families who need our help,” said Family Promise of Bryan County Executive Director Candice Fife. “We are sincerely grateful to all participants who come out to support our mission of eradicating homelessness in our community.”


Runners and walkers of all fitness levels and ages are invited to participate in the unique event. Packet pickup will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, July 19at Georgia Game Changers, 8872 Ford Ave., Suite 207.


Family Promise of Bryan County works with host congregations to reduce the number of families who are separated when they fall on difficult times and find themselves homeless. The organization recognizes that poverty is a complex problem that requires a multifaceted response. They respond by integrating educational outreach, smart programming, effective policies, and the hands-on work of thousands of volunteers. They provide food, shelter, and support services for homeless families, and advocate for at-risk families to prevent homelessness.
